::The Damn Scrapbook
4:33 p.m. - 2005-06-23

I said I was going to keep up with this more frequently, didn't I? Whoopth. So sue me. I've had deadlines. :)

Speaking of dealines, the roommate and I finally got the DAMN SCRAPBOOK finished. And in case I haven't mentioned it in great detail before...here we go. Roommate, in her infinite helperness and volunteerism, volunteered to do a PA scrapbook for the end of the year.The basic puprpose for the book is so The Bosses can display it at our booth and stuff at Orientations over the summer. Basically, a photo chronicle of how awesome it is to be a freshman and/or PA at UTD.

Right.

And naturally, being volunteer and support gal who happens to live in the sae tiny apartment, at least for the summer...I offered to help her.

So anyway, since she is a budding photographer (and a damn good one), she took MILLIONS of pictures at EVERY SINGLE event we had in the Spring semester. And she took at least HUNDREDS of photos in the fall. Needless to say, once we got all the pictures pulled off the computer and printed, we had one VERY full shoebox to work with. We kind of dicked around it for a couple of months, always figuring we'd work on it more once we moved in together.

Well...the move happened, and the DAMN SCRAPBOOK was still only about 1/10000 complete. And the deadline for the first Orientation was fast approaching (like...today fast approaching). And what did we do? Everything possible to NOT work on the DAMN SCRAPBOOK.

Until about a week ago. When it was finally decided that we MUST get the thing finished. So for the past twelve-odd days, we've been working nonstop on the thing as soon as we both get home from work every night. And if you've never done a scrapbook before, it's tough. And if you've never done a scrapbook with a Gemini before, it takes FOR FREAKIN' EVER! Every idea I have for pages is hella complicated. See above re: for freakin' ever. So we ended up going with Roommate's ideas most times. For which I am grateful.

Anyway, so we've busted our asses for the past week and a half to get the thing done. And now, it's finished. Doner than Baked Conclusion with Kibosh Salad and Finnish rolls (ooo...dinner). And now...what the hell are we gonna do every night?! We can't procrastinate on the DAMN SCRAPBOOK any longer. And we can't work on the DAMN SCRAPBOOK anymore because...finished.

Hellooooo to the boring.

Gotta say though, the thing is impressive. Seventy-five pages of PA Photo goodness. Decorated, themed, bound in a pretty book...it's awesome. We're very proud of it. But it took so damn much effort i feel like I should make its bed every morning and pay for its education. Something. Not just...give it up.

Eh, I'd better go. The clock, she calls. Working time is at an end.

Paca!

P.S. Notice a spring in my grammatical step? Yeah, me too. More on that later.
